Nigerian Finance minister Kemi Adeosun allegedly resigns – source stated, though not yet confirmed as information about when Adeosun submitted her resignation letter has not yet been obtained by the newspaper.

It was gathered that the reason for the Nigerian Finance minister Kemi Adeosun alleged resignation is traced to the allegation of her NYSC Certificate forgery – Naij stated.

However, the finance minister, according to the report, felt that her position is becoming untenable and is hurting President in Muhammadu Buhari in the run up to the 2019 election.

It was also gathered that all effort to reach out to the minister through Oluyinka Akintunde her special adviser on media and communications regarding the alleged resignation all proved abortive as the calls were not taken and text message sent to him asking for confirmation of the development was not also replied.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun NYSC certificate scandal has been a subject of discus in the nation lately, a lot has been said on the social networks particularly twitter in a bid make the report go viral and bring federal government to full action but nothing was done to that regard. Some group known as “anti-corruption group” earlier called for probe into the certificate scandals involving the finance, Adeosun and Senator Ademola Adeleke.

In a statement signed by its Co-convener, Ezenwa Nwagwu, the group said it has, through the legal instrument of the Freedom Of Information Act, written to the relevant authorities to respond to the allegations against the duo.

Nwagwu said there were obvious discrepancies in the two certificates presented by Senator Adeleke to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), stressing that the West African Examination Council (WAEC) needs to verify the authenticity of the result.
